Listening Session: People Living with Disabilities

We partnered with Activate Inclusion and Washington Advocates of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to host the Listening Session: People Living with Disabilities. 

The Interstate Bridge Replacement Program is committed to centering equity throughout our process as well as our outcomes. The Elevating Equity series of listening sessions are to help hear from communities of concern. The goal of the listening sessions is to gather insights from community members who have been historically excluded from big transportation programs and projects.

This listening session provided an update on the progress of the IBR program. We looked at preliminary design options, draft equity and climate frameworks, steps to get to an IBR solution, and ways for you to stay informed and get involved along the way. Event participants had the opportunity to ask questions and engage with program staff.
